
According to the Collective Agreement sections shown below, Occasional Teachers must complete the annual reactivation process by April 30 each year. Please also check that you have completed all minimum requirements to stay on the List (ex. Minimum Days Worked, Article 16.06).
Article 8.05
By April 1, the Board will post a System Memo which outlines the annual reactivation process. Occasional Teachers must reactivate by April 30 in order to be eligible to remain on the List and/or Long Term Occasional List (if applicable for the following year.
When an Occasional Teacher is added to the List following February 1, a reactivation will not occur prior to April of the next school year.
Failure to complete reactivation by April 30 will result in removal from the Occasional Teacher List and the Long Term List (if applicable) effective June 30 and the Occasional Teacher will not be eligible for permanent or LTA work for the following school year.
