Hello everyone, Just a reminder that we are hosting a FREE Innovation Workshop May 28 @ 4:30pm at the AMETFO Office in Seaforth (dinner will be provided, as well as a free book to keep and educational resources). REGISTER HERE: https://forms.gle/vPWTy22yKmabe9tJ9 In this workshop, educators will receive a free children's book about innovation in Canada, as well as an electronic copy of the resource Education for Innovation (E4I). This workshop will discuss how to use these resources and how you can host an innovation celebration in your classroom: cultivating and celebrating Canada’s culture of innovation! Introduce your students to inspiring Canadian innovations and guide learners through the four phases of the Innovation Cycle, and to foster a culture of innovation by inspiring the next generation of innovators through learning. The E4I resources are designed to guide learners through the various phases of the Innovation Cycle, from Inquiry to Implementation. Educators may use these resources with youth to develop innovation and problem-solving skills in classrooms and other settings. Strategies, templates, and assessment tools can be adapted by educators to any subject or curriculum area. Let’s celebrate and cultivate Canada’s culture of innovation! Co-written by Canada's Governor General and accompanied by contemporary illustrations, this adaptation offers young Canadians a way to celebrate our history and world contributions on Canada's 150th birthday. Please note: Dinner will be provided. There is no cost to attend this workshop. All participants will receive a book and educational resources.
